Study Material Preparedness

The purpose of this page is to provide some tips about the Study Material for your exam

 Quick suggestions applicable to all levels 

• Please copy a samskritam paragraph from any printed matter.  Review for
  अ.   Clarity in your writing
  आ.  Accuracy of your work

• Pick a few words from the same passage and write your own sentences for each of the words.

Comprehend the material, not simply memorize

The question paper (QP) will contain questions covering the material from the prescribed textbook.  There are two sample question papers at the back of the book.  More samples are provided on our website (under Syllabus and Samples). 

Although DLP will try to add more sample question papers along with suggested answers, students must remember that the way questions are asked will be varied, thereby testing the students' comprehension of the material rather than simply memorizing the answers.

QP - Topic Arrangement

We have organized the question paper into the grammar (व्याकरणम्)  portion and the language (भाषा) portion.  Starting NOV2021, we would expect at least 50% score in each part, while the combined score would be 60% to PASS the exam.  Please note that this arrangement is not to be mistaken for the split syllabus.
